Building blocks

five building blocks are:

  • datasets
  • visualizations
  • reports
  • dashboards
  • apps

Building blocks are sometimes referred to as Power BI content. Content exists in workspaces

Note: Workbooks are a special type of dataset (when excel file is connected to Power BI instead of imported)
