• Application form
• 1 Photocopy of birth certificate
• 1 Photocopy of residence card (or copy of Japanese passport)
• 1 copy of passport size picture
• Your current passport (which is about to expire or already expired)
• Money receipt (18,000 yen furikomi to Mizuho bank Embassy account)
• Return envelope (embassy will send your passport using this envelope)

Prepare application form and birth certificate

• Download & fillup application form

• Either fillup & then print or print first & then fillup by hand (use ball pen, not pencil)
• Bring one photocopy of your birth certificate
  • If you don’t have birth certificate, you need to collect it from Union Porishod / City office in Bangladesh
  • Consult with embassy satff if you cannot collect it from Bangladesh

Prepare residence card photocopy and your picture

• 1 Photocopy of your residence card (both sides in a single page)
  • If you have Japanese passport (no residence card), then 1 photocopy of your Japanese passport
• 1 copy of passport size picture

Collect money receipt

Deposit money to Bangladesh Embassy bank account

• As of 2025: 18,000 yen
• Amount may vary in future, ask embassy staff
• You need to submit the money receipt (take a picture of the money receipt so that you can print it later if you loose it)

Prepare return envelope

• Buy JP Post envelope (blue color)
  • Buy it beforehand (from convenience store or JP Post)
  • Note: nearby convenience store (i.e., Family Mart) might not sell that envelope

• Write your address on the “To” section of the envelope (embassy will return your passport using this envelope)

Submit documents and collect delivery slip

• Submit all the documents
• The satff will check, collect and will ask you to wait
• After few minutes, the staff will provide you delivery slip
• Done (after around 1 month, you will receive your passport)
