Register your TEPCO contract to TEPCO web
- Gather contract information
- In you have TEPCO payment slip (払込書), get information from it
- If you don’t know or forgot “what information was used when applying for TEPCO” or you may not have TEPCO payment slip (払込書) to get required information (i.e. お客さま番号, 事業所コード etc.), then follow the following procedure to get those information:
- Go to https://tepco.zendesk.com/hc/ja/articles/360039605693
- Click chatbot at bottom right
- Click “契約内容を確認したい” and follow the procedure (if you don’t know Japanese then use browser translation)
- Registration of contract:

- Go to https://www.kenshin.tepco.co.jp/contract/list
- Click “+”
- Follow the procedure (if you don’t know Japanese then use browser translation)
- The name must be in full-width romaji (japanese keyeboard) i.e.
MD TAREQ HASSAN
- If you get contract information from chatbot, then regarding “[契約者名義]”
- First portion is
セイ
and second portion isメイ
(even though the meaning of the japanese is opposite), - Example “MD TAREQ HASSAN”
- セイ: MD TAREQ (full-width romaji)
- メイ: HASSAN (full-width romaji)
- First portion is
- The name must be in full-width romaji (japanese keyeboard) i.e.

Paying electricity bill
- First few months you have to pay using bills that will come monthly
- If you requested “Automatic bank transfer during” starting, they will send application form (or you can call and ask for application form)
- Fillup the form
- Submit to your bank
- After few months, automatic bank transfer will be activated

- Problem with online form
- The form is for Japanese people
- Name field: only 9 characters are allowed
- Only Japanese language is allowed (no English)
- In my case, I was able to submit the form by using short name but called the customer care to correct my name (otherwise there would be problems in future for name mismatch )

Paying gas bill
By default they will send invoice () every month. Use that invoice to pay at convinient store or just scan the bar code using PayPay app.
If you want to change payment to credit card then do following:
- Open Chrome (if already opened, close Chrome and start again, becuase if you are already logged in, it will not fetch your information from myTOKYOGAS)
- Go to https://e-com.tokyo-gas.co.jp/Creca/InputCustInfo.aspx
- Click “myTOKYOGASから選択 (ログイン)”
- Login with your myTOKYOGAS login email and password (once logged in, it will your info from myTOKYOGAS)
- 次へ (Next)
- Enter credit card information
- カード会員名(漢字)(全角) → Maximum 10 characters are allowed (targeted for Japanese people)
- Enter your name in katakana with only 10 characters (this not name in your credit card)
- 次へ (Next)
- It will redirect to NTT data for payment settlement > follow procedure
- It will come back to main page > Click “送信”
- お申し込み完了 (Application completed)
- Save “受付番号” for inquiries

Web registration (Web registration ended on August 30, 2022):
- Once registered, web portal and “東京都水道局アプリ” can be used
- Go to https://suidonet.waterworks.metro.tokyo.lg.jp/inet-service/members/login
- Click “新規会員登録”
- Click “了承する(次へ)”
- Follow the procedure
- ID and password:
- You will get login ID at registration completion page
- They will send temporary password via postcard to your address (might take around one week). When you login for first time, it will ask you to change password
Web login:
- Make sure that you saved your ID from registration completion page and received password via postcard
- Login to portal:
- Go to https://suidonet.waterworks.metro.tokyo.lg.jp/inet-service/members/login
- ID: you received login ID at registration completion page
- Password:
- First time: use the temporary password received via postcard. When you login for first time, it will ask you to change password
- Subsequent login: use the password you set during first time login
