Analytics
Analytics is a method to visualize data in an easy to understand way. Our brains are wired to understand pictures and “data as a picture” is what analytics is all about. Analytics can sit on top of BI and Big Data systems or any other ordinary database.

- Analytics often involves studying past historical data to research potential trends, to analyze the effects of certain decisions or events, or to evaluate the performance of a given tool or scenario
- The goal of analytics is to improve the business by gaining knowledge which can be used to make improvements or changes

- Descriptive (Says what is happening)
- Diagnostic (Says Why it is happening)
- Predictive (Says What will happen in future)
- Prescriptive (Says what to do to change what is happening)
