Analytics is a method to visualize data in an easy to understand way. Our brains are wired to understand pictures and “data as a picture” is what analytics is all about. Analytics can sit on top of BI and Big Data systems or any other ordinary database.

• Descriptive (Says what is happening)
• Diagnostic (Says Why it is happening)
• Predictive (Says What will happen in future)
• Prescriptive (Says what to do to change what is happening)
